Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Dennis out of Champions League clash for his club amid reports he stormed off the team bus after not being able to sit where he wanted
Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Dennis is out of Club Brugge's Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund amid reports he allegedly stormed off the team bus after not being able to sit where he had wanted.
On Monday November 23, Club Brugge coach Philippe Clement confirmed that the Nigerian international broke some rules of the club but refused to elaborate.
He said: “He is fit, but he is not in the selection against Dortmund."
"Dennis has broken some rules of the club. That is the only reason. I will not elaborate on his situation further.”
According to Belgian outlet Het Laatste Nieuws, Dennis reacted angrily on the team bus because he wasn't allowed to sit where he had wanted amid strict measures on the team bus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 23-year-old, who played few minutes of the Super Eagles AFCON qualifier against Sierra Leone last week, will reportedly be fined for his outburst.
Club Brugge are currently third place in Group F with four points from their first three games.
They will face Dortmund who beat them 3-0 on matchday 3 in Germany tonight.
