Lagos Water Corporation, (LWC) has restored water supply to Lagos residents, particularly those that have been affected by the disruption of water supply due to the gas outage by the Corporation’s Service Provider, Akute Power Limited (APL).
In a statement released on Thursday, and signed by the Managing Director, Engr. Muminu Badmus, the Corporation stated that “operations commenced at the LWC Adiyan waterworks and Akute intakes as a result of restoration of power supply by the Ikeja Distribution Company (IKEDC), therefore restored potable water to the affected areas of the State.”
According to the corporation, Iju Waterworks had also commenced operation “as we promise you improve service delivery.”
“We therefore express deep appreciation to the general public, thanking you for your patience, endurance, cooperation and support especially during this period of Water scarcity,” the statement said.
The Corporation, however, enjoined Lagosians to continue to support government’s efforts in sustaining water supply in the State.
