Massive Road Construction In Anambra, Obiano Continues Inspection Tour

Just as promised by Gov Willie Obiano of Anambra State, massive road construction is ongoing in the State to ensure that most of the roads are completed before the rains.


To ensure that these roads are built to standard, the governor on returning from Rome where he was honoured as a Knight Commander of St Gregory the Great, began an inspection tour to have first hand feel of the quality and level of work at the different construction sites.

In less than 10 days, Gov Obiano has inspected ongoing construction works at ten different roads in Fegge, Onitsha where he added Ihiala Street to make it a total of 11 roads.

The governor has inspected the Anambra International Airport Dual Carriage Way; then the Eziowelle-Umunnachi-Umunya road; Nimo-Oraukwu road; Stamford Road in Awka amongst others.

Aside roads, last Monday, the governor inspected two giant Regional Water Schemes located in Anambra East and Aguata local government areas in the State.

And today, Gov Obiano will inspect construction works at Storm Diversion/Erosion control works at Uruagu, Nnewi; 7 different roads within Omagba Phase 2 Layout in Onitsha; Esther Obiakor Dual Carriage Way in GRA Awka; and then inspect St Joseph's Catholic Church Road Nibo with spur to Amawbia-Nibo Road.

Under Gov Obiano, ndi Anambra have experienced daily maintenance of all existing roads; construction and reconstruction of roads and bridges in both rural and urban parts of the State.
