Kaduna state governor, Nasiru El-Rufa’i of Kaduna State has urged Nigerians to continue to support the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in the fight against corruption.
El Rufai said this while receiving officers of the Kaduna zonal office of the anti-graft agency on a courtesy visit to him in his office on Wednesday, March 28.
He disclosed that the state government has “enacted state laws that will help in regulating corruption cases ravaging the state.”
The governor in his meeting with the officials of the anti-graft agency team led by the zonal head, Kaduna state, Mailafia Yakubu, assured the commission that the state would work hand-in-hand with the EFCC in tackling corruption in the state by giving it all the necessary support needed, saying transparency was key in his government.
On his part, Mailafia Yakubu assured the governor of the EFCC’s commitment o getting rid of corruption in the country.
In his words, Mailafia said; “Our job is to get rid of corruption for the betterment of our generation and the generation yet unborn.”
