'The coup is complete' - Ayo Shonaiya reacts as new acting CJN inaugurates tribunals for 2019 election
Nigerian filmmaker and entertainment consultant who was called to bar in 2018 has reacted to the recent move by the new acting CJN, Tanko Mohammed who has just conducted swearing in of tribunals for the 2019 elections.
According to Shonaiya, 'the Coup is complete. They have done what they wanted to do'.
He went on to say,
'we can continue speaking grammar and discussing the legality on Social Media till kingdom come. This is what it has always been about all along. This is the Nigeria we live in now. We are in a democratically elected DICTATORSHIP! So, hypothetically, if Buhari is declared Winner amid accusations and evidence of election malpractice, and Atiku files Petition to Election Tribunal, the Panel is already handpicked by “Acting” CJN that was sworn-in in mufty at Aso Villa 24hrs before.
The Perfect plan. The perfect COUP. Just make sure you go out and VOTE! That’s all for me. My mother has kuku told me to stop all this politics talk. So now I’m going to listen to her. This one has passed my level. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria'.
