Gunmen Kidnap APC Chairman In Adamawa, Demand N20m Ransom

Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Demsa Local Government Area of Adamawa State, Hamisu Mijinyawa has been kidnapped.


According to Mark Dauda, an official of the APC in the state, Mijinyawa was kidnapped around 1:00am on Wednesday.

He added that the kidnappers are demanding a ransom of N20 million to release the APC chieftain.



The kidnap is coming ahead of the flag-off of the Presidential/Governorship campaign in Demsa Local Government Area with Governor Jibrilla Bindow set to arrive Demsa any moment from now for the kick-off of the campaign.

“The Chairman was picked in his house in Demsa around 1:00am last night, but we’re talking, we’re negotiating his release.”

“They’ve demanded N20 million ransom, that’s all I can tell you for now,” Dauda said.



Naija News recalls that a similar thing occurred in Abia State as the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Hon. Donatus Nwankpa was kidnapped by unknown gunmen on Monday night.

According to information gathered, his personal assistant escaped, but another party official wasn’t lucky to also escape.
