President Buhari arrives Maiduguri for the Nigerian Army Annual Conference

President Buhari is now in Maiduguri, capital of  Borno State where he was received by a Borno State Government delegation.  

While in the state, President Buhari will declare open the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Annual Conference which was originally scheduled to hold in Benin, Edo State. He is also expected to visit anti-insurgency troops in the state.

The visit comes days after the military confirmed some soldiers were killed by Boko Haram militants in a surprise attack in Metele, in the northeastern state.
