The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has released part of his prophecies for the year 2026, offering words of hope to Nigerians amid ongoing economic and social challenges.
According to Pastor Adeboye, there will be a reduction in hunger in Nigeria in 2026, signaling a turnaround in the nation’s struggle with food insecurity and rising cost of living. The respected cleric also prophesied a reversal of the “japa” trend, predicting that many Nigerians who previously emigrated in search of better opportunities would return home.
“There will be a reduction in hunger in Nigeria this 2026, there will be a reversal of japa, those who left before will return,” Pastor Adeboye said.
He further revealed that this is only the first part of the message, adding that he would release the second part of the prophecy when God gives the go-ahead.
The prophecy has since generated widespread reactions across social media, with many Nigerians expressing hope, faith, and cautious optimism. While some believers welcomed the message as divine reassurance during difficult times, others urged that spiritual declarations should be complemented by policy reforms, good governance, and practical solutions.
Pastor Adeboye’s annual prophecies often spark national conversations, given his influence as one of Africa’s most prominent Christian leaders. As 2026 approaches, many Nigerians will be watching closely to see how these declarations align with events in the country.
For now, the prophecy has rekindled discussions around economic recovery, food security, migration, and national renewal, themes that continue to dominate Nigeria’s public discourse.
