Following the tragic passing of Abdul Latif, fondly known as “Latz,” a close friend and associate of heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua, tributes and acts of charity have continued to pour in from across the world.
In a powerful show of love and remembrance, a sum of $180,000 has already been raised to construct a mosque in his honour as Sadaqah Jariyah—a continuous charity in Islam believed to bring ongoing spiritual rewards to the deceased.
Abdul Latif, who was widely known for his humility, generosity, and commitment to humanitarian causes, had dedicated much of his life to helping others, particularly through community development projects and support for the less privileged. Friends and supporters say the decision to build a mosque reflects the values he lived by and his passion for service to humanity.
The fundraising effort has drawn support from friends, well-wishers, and members of the Muslim community, many of whom described the initiative as a fitting tribute that will ensure Latif’s legacy of kindness and faith lives on.
Although details of the mosque’s location and construction timeline are yet to be fully disclosed, organisers have confirmed that planning is already underway to ensure the project is executed in line with its intended purpose.
As condolences continue to pour in, many have praised the initiative as a meaningful way to honour Abdul Latif’s memory—transforming grief into lasting impact and ensuring that his good deeds continue to benefit generations to come.
