Truck Falls Off Otedola Bridge in Lagos State, Four Injured



 A truck has fallen off the Otedola Bridge in Lagos State, resulting in four individuals sustaining injuries. The accident occurred during the early hours of the morning, causing major traffic disruptions as emergency responders rushed to the scene.

Eyewitnesses report that the truck, which was carrying goods, lost control while crossing the bridge, before plummeting off the elevated structure. The impact of the fall caused significant damage to the vehicle, and four people, including the driver and passengers, were reported to have sustained varying degrees of injury.

Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) personnel quickly arrived at the scene to begin rescue operations. The injured individuals were promptly extracted from the wreckage and transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Thankfully, no fatalities have been reported at this time.

"We can confirm that four individuals have been injured as a result of the truck falling off the Otedola Bridge. Our teams have successfully rescued the victims, and they are being treated at the hospital," said a spokesperson for LASEMA.

The cause of the accident remains unclear, but authorities suspect that mechanical failure, road conditions, or human error may have played a role. Investigations are currently underway.
