Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, Governor of Anambra State, has expressed deep gratitude to the 3,172 delegates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) who voted for him to contest for a second term in office in the upcoming November 8, 2025 governorship election.
The Governor, in a statement following his victory at the primary elections, thanked the delegates for their trust and support, emphasizing that their decision means the world to him and his administration.Governor Soludo commended the peaceful and orderly conduct of the APGA primary election, calling it a testament to the party’s commitment to democratic values. He also extended his appreciation to officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), led by the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), for their diligent monitoring of the process and ensuring the election was free and fair.
“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the 3,172 delegates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) who voted for me to contest for a second term in office in the upcoming governorship election on 8 November 2025. Your trust and support mean the world to me,” Soludo said. “I commend the peaceful and orderly conduct of our primary election, a true testament to APGA’s commitment to democratic principles.”
The Governor also acknowledged the role of the people of Anambra in the party’s success, emphasizing that the bond between APGA and Anambra is strong and inseparable. “To the good people of Anambra, I am deeply grateful for your unwavering support for APGA. As I have always said, APGA is Anambra, and Anambra is APGA. We will continue to work tirelessly to make our state a prosperous and liveable homeland,” he added.
As he sets his sights on a second term, Governor Soludo made a call for the party’s approval to renominate Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim as his Deputy. He expressed confidence that together, they would continue building on the progress they have made and take Anambra to even greater heights.
"I humbly request the party’s approval to renominate Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim as my Deputy. Together, we will build on the progress we have made and take Anambra to even greater heights," Soludo said in his message.
Governor Soludo concluded by reaffirming his commitment to the people of Anambra, promising not to disappoint them as they move forward together towards the 2025 election. "Thank you, Ndi Anambra, and thank you, APGA family. I will not disappoint you. May Anambra continue to win!"
This marks an important moment for the governor as he prepares for the upcoming governorship election, a race that will see him seek a second term to continue his vision for a prosperous Anambra State.
