Meeting with Salawu Residents Association Addresses Key Issues: Transformer Repair and Road Construction
In a recent meeting with the Residents Association of Salawu on Old Ife Road, significant progress was made on two pressing issues affecting the community: a faulty transformer and deteriorating road conditions.
One of the primary concerns raised by the association was the malfunctioning transformer, which has been causing frequent power outages in the area. In response to the urgent need for a solution, I decided to take immediate action rather than waiting for the Electricity Distribution Company (EDC) to address the issue. A donation of ₦1 million was made to the association to expedite the repair process. This contribution is aimed at ensuring that the transformer is fixed promptly, restoring reliable power supply to the residents.
Another major topic of discussion was the poor condition of the road leading into Salawu. Residents have long been grappling with the challenges posed by the deteriorating infrastructure. To address this, it was announced that construction work on the road will commence no later than September. The road improvement project is expected to enhance transportation and overall accessibility for the community.
The meeting was marked by a collaborative spirit and a shared commitment to improving living conditions in Salawu. The prompt donation for the transformer repair and the scheduled road construction reflect a strong dedication to addressing the immediate needs of the residents.
Both initiatives are set to significantly impact the quality of life in Salawu, demonstrating a proactive approach to community concerns and infrastructure development.
